Justification:
This film places us immediately and with a lightness in a dark and heavy universe. Well played holding it fixed us firmly to the last frame. Concerned and shaken, we leave this film, but the film does not leave us.
I Don’t Want to Live Anywhere Else (Anton Forsdik; Sweden)
Ole, the main and only character of Anton Forsdik’s film, is a twelve year-old. And a schizophrenic. The Swedish I Don’t Want to Live Anywhere Else fearlessly manages to take on this complex and mature topic in just under two minutes. Forsdik takes a gentle and sensitive, yet cold and brutish approach. This title deserves a special jury mention for its bravery, maturity and aesthetic perfectedness.

FATE – ÖDET,
Three young people in three different families and one lone bird. The young people do not know each other. Maybe passed by on the street, but more is not it. They live in different home relationships. Gabriel, a gay boy played by Anton Forsdik. His laying is not accepted in his family. He feels abandoned and alone. Johannes is an ADHD diagnosis guy claiming the doctors played by Malte Gårdinger. He also feels lonely in this unfair world. We follow these youngsters in their way through loneliness and heavy depression. Their desire to be accepted as them is to be loved by their immediate. The search for inner freedom and security leads them to different paths and places in their city. The thoughts of Gabriel fly high over the city with questions about loneliness and fate. His thoughts about fate do not only stop with humans, all living ones have their own lives.

Den 13 och 14 oktober så visas hans film på Stockmotion filmfestival i Filmhuset på Gärdet.
Ensam och missförstådd eller ..?
Det började med filmen “Jag vill inte leva någon annanstans”, som är baserad på upplevda
händelser av Olle Samuelsson och en vän till honom. Då Olle berättar för vännen om det dagliga
påhopp han måste leva med eller så är det kanske lättare att sluta leva.
– Jag ville göra film av vår historia för att hjälpa bryta tystnaden kring mobbning
och tabun att prata om dessa teman.
Filmen vann priset bästa film på Stockmotion filmfestival 2015 och sedan dess har den visats på
50 tal festivaler runt om i världen med fantastiskt bra mottagandet och ytterligare några priser.
Även hans andra film ”Antingen Eller” visas på årets filmfestival. Det är den andra filmen i trilogin
”Att vara som alla andra”, berättelse om Olle Samuelsson.
Regissör med unga i fokus
Anton har snabbt profilerat sig som en filmare med unga i fokus och som regissör är han
inspirerad av film som kretsar kring barns uppväxt och vägen till vuxenvärlden.
– Vi fick produktionsstöd och uppmärksamhet från några olika håll men inga stora summor
pengar. Filmen gjordes både i Stockholm och Spanien.
Allting löser sig .. tillslut
Anton tycker att han lärt sig mycket av produktionen, att tro på sin historia och aldrig ge upp.
– Vi har mött mycket motgångar, men det har varit en fantastiskt kul oxå. Allting har löst sig tillslut …
eller hur och nu när filmen är klar har vi fått mycket god respons. “Ödet” har sin
internationella festivalturné med hjälp av plattformar för filmfestivaler, som Filmfreeway och
Withoutabox. Nästa gång man kan se filmen är på filmfestival i Norge den 7 – 11 November,
Ringerike International Youth filmfestival.
– Vi försöker oxå få ut filmen till skolor och utbildningsverksamhet för att hjälpa bryta tystnaden
kring dessa problem.
Nya projekt på gång
För tillfället förproducerar Anton sin kortfilm “Slutspelet” den sista delen i trilogin ”Att vara som
alla andra”, med hopp om att påbörja inspelning till sommaren 2018. Även teater scen ligger
Anton varmt om hjärtan. I vintras kunde man se honom stå på Dramatens scen som Alexander i
Ingmar Bergmans ”Fanny och Alexander” regisserad av Stefan Larsson. Nu är han själv i full färd
med att regisera pjäsen ”Människor kommer och människor går” med premiär i mars 2018 på
Teaterverket. En omarbetning av Jonathan Lehtonens ”Nästan Jihad”
Förutom detta som regissör har han som skådespelare precis spelat in kommande tv serie
”Svansen i kläm” som har premiär på TV4 i januari 2018. Anton medverkar också i dem nya
filmerna kring ”Morden i Sandhamn” med namnet ”I sanningens namn” med premiär våren 2018.
